I have had the opportunity to work with Laura Shelton, PhD on several metabolomics projects for over six years. Our group has been interested in working on metabolomics from cellular genetic derangements and from this we have had to figure out what is meaningful biologically. With Dr. Shelton’s help in interpreting big metabolomic data, our team was able to find biologically important pathways that are useful. As a result, we have been able to get manuscripts published in excellent impact factor journals and we have been well positioned to apply for competitive grants.
